750,000 entries make all Spanish interpreters and translators rejoice

spanish.dictionary.comDictionary.com has always been a great source.  Each time you type some odd word into Google, Dictionary.com's definition would pop-up at the very top. As the world is changing so does the Internet and in today's multilingual eWorld being "English only" is not cool enough.  All Spanish translators and interpreters can now bookmark another site where they can look up the words and do some on-the-spot machine translations. Needless to say, that link and some comments from the El Presidente of Dictionary.com are just after the break.

One can visit spanish.dictionary.com to check out and probably even use three major additions to the site. “We’ve been focused on transitioning from a pure play word defining site to a full-fledged destination for anything linguistic,” said Dictionary.com President Shravan Goli.

Spanish channel offers Google-powered machine translation service, definition of the Spanish words and learning tool for those who want to study on their own. What we missed right away was a Spanish thesaurus which would have been a great benefit for translators. On the other hand features such as Grammar Tip of the Day, weekly vocabulary lists, and a “travel narrative,” add some value. Goli says that right now they “are focused on content expansion.”
